February's come to an end and our search for the perfect dish to close out the month has led us to our #RecipeOfTheWeek—these lip-smacking Korean-style savoury dumplings. Plump, with a melt-in-the-mouth stuffing of tofu and kimchi, and served with a soy dipping sauce, these little flavourful pockets are great to enjoy as a midday snack, appetisers, or even as a meal in itself!
Ingredients:-
- Packaged Firm Tofu, 1 (14 ounce)
- Canola Oil, 1.5 tbsp + more for frying
- Shallots, 2/3 cup, chopped
- Garlic Cloves, 3, minced
- Ginger, 2 tbsp, minced
- Carrot, 1, peeled and grates
- Scallion Stalks, 2, sliced
- Foodhall Kimchi, 3/4 cup, chopped
- Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp
- Toasted Sesame Oil, 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander, 1 tsp, ground
- Kosher Salt, 1 tsp
- Round Potsticker / Gyoza Dumpling Wrappers, 40-45
For the dipping sauce:
- Soy Sauce, 1/3 cup
- Rice Vinegar, 1/3 cup
- Scallion, 1, sliced
- Garlic Clove, 1, minced
- Ginger, 1/2 tsp, minced
- Sesame Oil, 1/2 tsp
